A session on the Vision Zero movement took place at the Health and Safety Event (HSE) Asia in Singapore on 11 November 2025. It brought together leaders and safety experts to discuss how the Vision Zero approach is transforming workplace safety across the region. The session, held as part of the Health & Safety Leaders Summit, focused on the idea that every accident is preventable and highlighted the importance of prevention in achieving sustainable, long-term business success.
Key speakers, including Pernille Thau, Vice President of Global Services & International Vision Zero Consultancy at Human House, Denmark, and Siong Hin Ho, Senior Consultant for International Workplace Safety and Health at the Ministry of Manpower, Singapore, emphasized the need for a cultural shift in safety practices at every organizational level. They were joined by Kelly Nicoll, President of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), United Kingdom, and Azlan Darus, Head of Division for Prevention, Medical and Rehabilitation at PERKESO, Malaysia.
Throughout the session, inspiring case studies were shared, demonstrating the positive impact of Vision Zero on reducing accidents and enhancing workplace safety. Practical actions and mindset shifts were discussed, with a focus on how leadership can drive safety culture and inspire change. Attendees left the session with actionable strategies to implement Vision Zero principles in their own organizations, reaffirming the importance of a zero-accident culture for both employee well-being and business success.
