Following the success of the Vision Zero Summit Japan 2022, a global coalition has been set up to promote “Vision Zero for All” towards Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan and beyond.
With nearly 8,000 attendees, the Vision Zero Summit Japan 2022 was a resounding success and has become one of the largest international conferences on occupational safety, health, and well-being in recent years. One important outcome was the adoption of the Tokyo Declaration on Vision Zero For All.
Following this success, ways have been explored to continue collaborations fostered at the summit, and eyes are now set on Expo 2025, which will take place in Osaka, Japan between April and October 2025. The theme of the Expo, Designing Future Society for Our Lives, aligns with Vision Zero and the ambition to achieve a world of work without accidents, illness or harm.
The Global Initiative for Safety & Well-being (GISW) at EXPO2025 and Beyond has been set up to promote the ambition and commitment of “Vision Zero for All” and to facilitate a continuous and sustainable journey of activities. A kick-off event took place in Osaka 10 – 12 May 2023.
