The German Association for Safety, Health and Environmental Protection at Work (Verband für Sicherheit, Gesundheit und Umweltschutz bei der Arbeit – VDSI) has adopted a position paper which recognises that Vison Zero is a path towards safe and healthy work. The VDSI is Germany's largest professional association for safety, health and environmental protection and has over 5,600 members.
Referring to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations and recalling that Vision Zero is an approach towards a holistic prevention culture, the VDSI commits itself to promote the values of Vision Zero by engaging in a stakeholder dialogue and by offering its occupational safety and health (OSH) competence to VDSI members and the entire Vision Zero community. A special reference is made to the importance of addressing psycho-social risks at work.
