During the National Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) week in Korea, two Vision Zero events took place to set the stage for discussing and developing a national Vision Zero strategy.

On 1 July, 2019 the Vision Zero Campaign was launched, together with 10 trainees form the International Labour Office (ILO) who visited the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA). The Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Center, Mr Jaewang Lee presented the Vision Zero campaign strategy and the 7 Golden Rules. This was followed by a Vision Zero Placard Ceremony.

On 2 July, close to 400 participants attended a Global Seminar for a Culture of Prevention, as part of the Vision Zero campaign, during which Mr Lee reiterated the importance to reduce occupational accidents and diseases. He explained how the Vision Zero Guide, the 7 Golden Rules, the Vision Zero videos, tools and website can help to engage OSH stakeholders in a constructive dialogue for prevention.

For the National OSH week, KOSHA produced a new Vision Zero flyer, which can be downloaded in our Vision Zero partner product section.
