

The International Symposium on Electrical Safety (SISE) is a scientific event that aims to improve health and safety standards for professionals in the electricity sector and to share the latest innovations in electrical safety. Since 2008, SISE has been held in a different Latin American country each year.
This year’s 16th edition of SISE will take place in Medellín, Colombia from 10 to 12 June 2025, and will be hosted by the ISSA Electricity Section, Section member CIER (Commission for Regional Energetic Integration in Latin America and the Caribbean) and it’s Colombian Committee COCIER.
This year`s symposium will focus on topics such as:
- Successful prevention strategies/Leadership and Vision Zero
- New trends with an impact on electrical safety/The use of AI
- Practical experiences and accident examples
The first day of the event (10 June) will feature presentations by international experts on these various topics. On the morning of the second day (11 June), companies will present their practical experiences and accident examples, before participants take part in a Vision Zero workshop in the afternoon of that same day, designed to encourage interaction and capitalise on their collective experience.
