The launch of Vision Zero in Uganda on 16 August 2024, which was supported by the International Section of the ISSA on Prevention in the Construction Industry, opened the way for further Vision Zero events in Uganda to improve occupational safety and health.

Thus, the next “International Vision Zero Africa Conference” with its main organizer OSHAfrica will take place from 29 to 31 August 2025 in Kampala, Uganda.  ISSA Construction is involved in the organization. 

The conference is co-hosted by OSH Africa, the Construction and Mining Sections of the International Social Security Association (ISSA), the African Vision Zero Network, and the Safety and Health Association of Uganda, among other partners. It aims to foster discussions and innovations in OSH, building on the successful conferences held in Lagos, Nigeria in 2021 and Livingston, Zambia in 2023.

Attendees can expect a series of insightful sessions and networking opportunities, contributing to the global effort to enhance safety and health standards.
