(Warsaw, 20.11.2019) In 2019, the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund of Poland (KRUS) organized under the patronage of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski the 1st National Youth Competition "My Vision Zero - Strategy for Prevention in Agriculture". The aim of the competition is to promote appropriate behaviour related to work on the farm among young people and to promote the 7 Golden Rules of the Vision Zero. This year's competition was was addressed to young people aged 15-24. The participants were supposed to prepare a film under the theme "My Vision Zero - Prevention Strategy in Agriculture".
72 people entered the Competition, 60 films were qualified, out of which the Competition Committee chaired by the President of the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund (KRUS) Dr. Aleksandra Hadzik selected the three best and distinguished four other works. The selection criteria were: compliance with the theme of the competition, originality and ingenuity as well as the quality and aesthetic value of the work.

1st place – Kaja Barton, High School – Centre for Agricultural Education in Bydgoszcz, residing in Bydgoszcz in kujawsko-pomorskie province (Poland)
2nd place – Adam Rybitwa, High School – Centre for Agricultural Education in Karolewo, residing in Kolno in warminsko-mazurskie province (Poland)
3rd place – Michał Dudek, High School – Centre for Agricultural Education in Brzostek, residing in Jodlowa in podkarpackie province (Poland)

KRUS prevention activities directed to children and young people are aimed at developing appropriate behaviours when staying and working on a farm, which will pay off in the future by improving safety and reducing the number of accidents in agriculture. The organization of the Competition is one of the activities promoting the Vision Zero Strategy inaugurated in June this year in the agricultural sector in Poland. The main goal of the strategy is to reduce the number of accidents at work and occupational diseases by creating better working conditions and improving the health of farmers.

The gala of the 1st National Youth Competition "My Vision Zero - Prevention Strategy in Agriculture" was held on November 27 this year at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Poland.
