On 26 November 2017, Hans-Horst Konkolewsky, ISSA Secretary General, met with the Chilean Minister of Employment and Social Security, Alejandra Krauss, and the Undersecretary of Social Security, Jeannette Jara, to officially welcome the Chilean Ministry to the Vision Zero community. According to the Chilean Secretary of State, Chile is currently transforming its approach and commitment to occupational health and Vision Zero has ignited fresh passion in these efforts.
