The International Media Festival for Prevention (IMFP) is now accepting submissions for 2020!

The Festival is an integral part of the XXII World Congress on Safety & Health at Work, taking place in Toronto, Canada, 4-7 October 2020. It showcases films and multimedia productions about safety and health at work, and the theme of the 2020 Congress is “Prevention in the Connected Age: global solutions to achieve safe and healthy work for all”.

An ISSA project is currently underway in 2019 to develop fact sheets for a limited set of leading indicators for safety, health and wellbeing, as part of a Vision Zero strategy.
L’Interafricaine de la prévention des risques professionnels (IAPRP) a organisé du 2 au 6 septembre le 1er Congrès africain sur la sécurité et la santé dans les mines et carrières (CASSMICA) à Conakry, Guinée. L’événement, qui a été accueilli par la Caisse nationale de sécurité sociale, a également été l’occasion de discuter de l’utilisation de la stratégie Vision Zero dans le secteur.
In the last six months, the number of Vision Zero supporters has soared from 4000 to over 6300 companies, organizations and occupational and safety health trainers.

Following the launch of Vision Zero Africa in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, in April 2018, the National Social Insurance Fund (CNPS), under the leadership of its Director-General, Mr. Denis Charles Kouassi (Vision Zero profile), hosted a training course on the Vision Zero approach in Abidjan from 26 August to 6 September 2019 for 65 managers from the Directorate of Prevention, Health and Safety at Work (doctors, engineers and prevention inspectors).

During the National Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) week in Korea, two Vision Zero events took place to set the stage for discussing and developing a national Vision Zero strategy.
The Honourable Minister of Human Resources, Mr M. Kula Segaran officially launched Malaysia’s Vision Zero strategy on 10th of July 2019 in Putrajaya, Malaysia. The launch, which was attended by approx. 1000 participants was organized by the Social Security Organization (SOCSO) of Malaysia and culminated in the signing of a Vision Zero Resolution for Malaysia and in the establishment of Vision Zero Secretariat. The Secretariat will support the implementation of the national Vision Zero programme in Malaysia.

El Comité Internacional de la Asociación Internacional de la Seguridad Social (AISS) para la Prevención en la Agricultura, apoya plenamente la campaña Vision Zero de la Asociación y ha elaborado dos nuevas guías, una destinada a los agricultores independientes y la otra a las empresas agrícolas, con el objetivo de promover la seguridad, la salud y el bienestar de los trabajadores agrícolas.
